Since early socialization is the basis of all canine learning, we offer a Puppy Kindergarten course designed for the young puppy. Comprised of seven one–hour classes, play and socialization (with people and other dogs) are incorporated into each class, as well as instruction in the basic commands: sit, down, stand, stay and come. This course is the foundation for future learning.

Is my puppy too young? Early, motivational training in a class atmosphere helps prevent behavior problems, ensures you establish a positive relationship with your puppy and helps them develop good social skills with other dogs (an important but often neglected element of canine development). Puppies 2 to 5 months of age are eligible to attend Puppy Kindergarten. Puppies love coming to class!

What about house–soiling, chewing, nipping and jumping up on people? With the support of your instructors, you will learn techniques to control these common problems. Handout sheets are made available and your instructors are availalble by telephone or e–mail to answer your questions or provide additional advice.

Contact our Public Class Registrar by e-mail at public.classes@ldta.ca or by telephone (Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm) at 514-991-3349.
